Biography
Morgan is a native of central Pennsylvania, where everyone you meet bleeds in blue and white and the words “WE ARE” echoed everywhere you go! Ironically, after high school, instead of attending Penn State her career goals drove her out of state to Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During her tenure at Shenandoah, she was a four-year starter/two-year co-captain of the Hornet’s Softball team. Immediately following graduation in 2014, Morgan began her career at Chesapeake Orthopedics. In her first year at the practice, she continued to work and decided to pursue her associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Carroll Community College. Morgan enjoys working in outpatient settings, where she can treat patients with a variety of surgical and non-surgical conditions, while helping patients return to their prior level of function. Since 2017, her primary focus area at the practice has been in the hand therapy department, where she works side-by-side with Chesapeake’s in-house Certified Hand Therapist. As part of her treatment, she utilizes the Graston Technique, a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) for injury recovery. Morgan also utilizes cupping, taping techniques, and exercises-based therapy to help patients return to an active lifestyle. When Morgan is not treating patients, you will find her on the fields playing competitive slow pitch softball, golfing, vacationing, or hanging out with her family and friends.
